Productized services vs. a traditional agency: which fits your team

Most marketing teams don't need bespoke work for every task. They need a blog post that ranks, a set of social graphics that stay on brand, and an ad that converts — reliably, on a schedule they can plan around.

A traditional agency prices that work per engagement. Scope is negotiated, timelines flex, and the invoice is rarely the same twice. That flexibility is valuable for a campaign with genuine unknowns. It's expensive overhead for recurring production.

A productized service inverts the model. The scope is fixed and published. The workflow is the same every time. You give up the ability to reshape each deliverable mid-flight, and in exchange you get a price you can budget, a turnaround you can plan against, and output that doesn't drift as people change.

The test is simple: if you can describe what 'good' looks like once and expect it to hold for the next twenty deliverables, productized is the better fit. If every piece is a fresh strategic question, keep the agency.
